"General labourer, has had lots of jobs, drinks, has done time for assaulting his wife. A problem, thieves. Children are thought to be quite smart. House fairly clean, not overcrowded now, disturbed. No PA since the war but a lot before. He was a good craftsman but his wife dragged him down. The older children are a poaching shiftless lot. Employers won't have him."
